ONLY 1 LIFE - One day of it!

At the beginning of March this year, we ran a workshop called ONLY ONE LIFE. It was targeted at providing delegates with some useful tools, techniques and materials to help them coach others in the area of Career and Life planning.

Malcolm Hornby, author of that excellent book - 3 Easy Ways to the Job you want, designed and delivered the event. He created a great opportunity for everyone to discuss the various different ideas that were presented during the day. Delegates were also able to take away the workbook, which was packed with all sorts of useful tips, tools and questionnaires.

The main messages from the day were:-

• You wouldn't run a Business without a plan, but how many of us have a personal plan?
• Few of us spend enough time or energy on ourselves and reflecting on what we want out of life.
• Take some time to think about what you want and what you have to offer in return.
• Even though we are all too busy, small actions which move us towards our goals and aspirations are important and don't need to be too onerous.

Although most people came to the event to refresh or develop their knowledge of how to help others do their own life and career planning, everyone enjoyed a relaxing day with time to think about themselves.
